The Wisconsin Law Enforcement Memorial Committee has started a comprehensive fund raising campaign to raise the $350,000 needed to complete our project at the State Capitol. The first and most important, part of this campaign is to gather support within our own profession to show that we are sincere about this project. We receive no government funding and we need your help! Governor Thompson feels this is such an important project that he has agreed to serve as Honorary Chair.

We are challenging all law enforcement agencies in the state to join our "100% Club." Every agency that has each employee donate a minimum of $20 to the memorial will become a member of the "100% Club" and receive a certificate for display. The names of all "100% Club" law enforcement organizations will be listed in WPPA's and other magazines and in a book that will remain at the site of the memorial.

If every certified officer in the state will contribute $20, we will have sufficient funds to build a memorial to honor the more than 200 fellow officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. This is one of the most important projects our profession can be involved with. We need to show strong support before we can effectively approach corporations and foundations for their contributions.

The minimum requirement for the 100% Club" is a $20 contribution from each full-time certified officer in your department. If you wish to include all other employees, that would be even more appreciated. After you have collected contributions, please mail one check for the total to the address listed in this article indicating the check is for inclusion in the 100% Club"
