Attend Convention 2006 And Vote!

Voting Delegates attending the Annual Meeting May 20-22 at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells will cast their votes for the 2006-2007 Board of Directors, and the LEER, CERD, and SORD Committees. If interested and you have not already done so, there is still time to state your intent to run for a seat.

Pursuant to the Restated Bylaws of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association, Inc., which were approved by the Voting Delegates at the Annual Convention on May 15, 2005, and adopted by the WPPA Board of Directors on September 19, 2005, “. . . Any eligible Active Member who desires to be a candidate for an open Director seat shall inform the Secretary in writing of their candidacy at least thirty (30) days prior to the date scheduled for the Annual Meeting of Delegates. The Secretary shall verify each candidate’s eligibility and add their name to the ballot. . . .”

Therefore, nominations will not be taken from the floor at the Annual Meeting of Delegates. You must state your intention, in writing, at least 30 days prior to the Annual Meeting.

An “Active Member” is defined as any sworn law enforcement officer other than a confidential, managerial or executive employee, and any law enforcement-related, non-sworn municipal or county employee.
