Rothschild Police Officer Bob Roeske Receives
Law Enforcement Torch Run® Volunteer of the Year Award
Police Officer Bob Roeske, retired, of the Rothschild Police Department, has received the 2006 Special Olympics Wisconsin Law Enforcement Torch Run® Volunteer of the Year Award. The award was presented by Merle Cooney, Special Olympics Athlete and State Torch Run Committee member, at the Wisconsin Professional Police Association Convention banquet on Sunday, May 21. The award recognizes WPPA members who have committed themselves to the mission of Special Olympics Wisconsin as evidenced by the officer’s participation and leadership in Law Enforcement Torch Run® events.
Congratulations to all of the 2006 nominees: Sgt. Gerry Flunker, Appleton Police Department; Officer Colleen Gertschen, Rothschild Police Department; Deputy Jerry Frank, Vernon County Sheriff’s Department; and Officer Tony Zblewski, Stevens Point Police Department.
