WPPA Board of Directors Seats Open
Have
you wanted more involvement in your State Association? Now may be
just the chance you have been waiting for. As a result of unexpected
vacancies, two (2) Directors’ seats are open and available
to be filled by appointment of the WPPA President and final approval
of the full Board in September 2006.
Rules
for applying as set forth in the WPPA Bylaws are as follows:

You
must be a full-time sworn officer of a LEER, SORD, or WPPA Fraternal
Local.
-
Your
local must have no more than two members on the Board of Directors
(only pertains to those locals with members currently on the Board).

You
must be an officer of the local, or local agrees to allow you to
attend the annual convention as a voting delegate of your local.

If
appointed, you must run for election for remainder
of the term for which you are seated at the May 2007 Annual
Convention.

If
selected and approved by the full Board, you must attend all scheduled
meetings of the full Board on September 17-18, 2006; December 2006
(budget approval); and February 2007, as well as the 2007 Annual
Convention.
