Receives Recognition Award

On Sunday, May 21, at the WPPA Annual Convention, Special Olympics Wisconsin recognized the Wisconsin Professional Police Association as the Founding Organization of the Law Enforcement Torch Run®.

Special Olympics is proud to salute the men and women of the law enforcement community for an incredible 20 years of dedicated support of Special Olympics and wanted to recognize WPPA for its commitment from the beginning. As impressive as the achievements of the past 20 years have been, the future looks even more promising. What started 20 years ago as a flicker of hope for Special Olympics has now become a roaring flame of stability for Special Olympics athletes.
