State's Largest Police Group Endorses Mandy Wright For State Assembly
MADISON–The Wisconsin Professional Police Association (WPPA) announced today its endorsement of Mandy Wright in her campaign to represent the 85th State Assembly District. The WPPA's board of directors, which is comprised of active law enforcement officers from all across the state, overwhelmingly chose to support Wright after closely evaluating the candidates and their responses to a candidate questionnaire on the issues that matters to Wisconsin's law enforcement community. Wright returned a questionnaire and Snyder did not. The race to fill the legislative seat vacated by Donna Seidel will be decided in the November 6 election.
"Mandy Wright clearly understands and appreciates the vital role that law enforcement plays in promoting the outstanding quality of life in Wisconsin," said WPPA Executive Director, Jim Palmer. "Her deep roots in Marathon County and her commitment to work in a bipartisan manner to serve her district put her in the best position to address the fiscal challenges confronting this state, while protecting the services that its citizens hold most dear. We are confident that Mandy Wright will represent the 85th State Assembly District with the integrity and accessibility that the legislature sorely needs."
With over 10,000 members from nearly 400 local association affiliates, the WPPA is the state's largest law enforcement group.
